    【The Full Snow Moon undergoing a deep penumbral eclipse】The full moon of February is called the Snow Moon, because while January is traditionally the coldest month of the year in the northern hemisphere, the heaviest snow usually falls a month later. Penumbral lunar eclipse is when the outer, more diffuse part of the Earth's shadow—known as the "penumbra"—falls onto the face of the moon that we can see. During these events, some or all of the moon appears slightly darker than usual for a period of several hours as the penumbra passes over our planet's natural satellite.

The Flame Nebula is an emission nebula located just above Alnitak.
